Initial Disclosure Document

The Finance Conduct Authority [FCA] is the independent regulatory body for all UK financial services. They require us by law to provide you with this document [IDD] which provides you with a summary of the products and services we offer, what we charge for our services and what to do if you have a complaint about us.

Who Regulates Us?

Capital Car Finance Limited is authorised and regulated by the Finance Conduct Authority for all consumer credit activity and our firms registration number is 685925, permitted activities allow us to act as a broker and not a lender.

What Services Do We Provide?

We can introduce you to a limited number of selected finance providers who may be able to offer you finance for your vehicle purchase, our role as a finance broker is to determine which lender on our panel will be suitable. Rates are determined by our lender based on a number of parameters, e.g. age of vehicle, balance financed etc…

What Do We Charge For Our Services?

We may charge a processing fee of up to £299 plus vat (£358.80) for our services as a contribution towards our costs, this is only payable once your application for finance has been approved by our lender. This fee will clearly be indicated as a separate charge on our terms of business checklist sent to you prior to completion. Payment of the processing fee can be made by either using a credit or debit card or by BACs transfer.

The lenders we work with will also pay us a commission for introducing you to them, however this will not have any effect on the amount that you pay back to the lender under your credit agreement. The fees and/or commission we receive will not have any influence on the interest rate that you will pay with our lender. Details on the amount of commission we receive are available upon request.

Data Protection

Your personal data is held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 [DPA 2018] Some or all of your data that you provide to us will be passed on to our lender in order for them to assess and underwrite your application for finance. What To Do If You Have A Complaint?

If you have a complaint about any of our services, we would like to hear from you, the last thing we want is an unhappy customer. Please contact us in the first instance by telephone on 01925 589020 to discuss your complaint in more detail.

Financial Ombudsman Service

If you are not happy with our final response to your complaint, you can at escalate your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, however, you must contact them within 6 months from the date of our Final Response, the Ombudsman Service will confirm with you that we have issued our final response and may need to see evidence of our outcome which you will need to provide to them.
